On this We Are Teachers page, find a curated list of virtual field trip resources to enhance students' learning experiences. These virtual experiences allow students to explore museums, historical sites, natural wonders, and other educational destinations from the comfort of their classrooms or homes! On this site, you'll find descriptions and links to various virtual field trip opportunities, and some resources provide tips for integrating them into lesson plans and activities. Many of these virtual trips are available on multiple YouTube channels. If your district blocks YouTube, the videos may not be viewable. In addition, some of these virtual field trips are sourced from several other sites and organizations; we advise that you review the privacy policies of these external sites to ensure compliance with their district's privacy policies.

Virtual field trips can immerse students in diverse learning experiences that allow teachers to go beyond the boundaries of their classroom. Find a virtual field trip that is relevant or connected to an upcoming unit. Begin by conducting an anonymous poll using a tool like Poll Everywhere, reviewed here or Mentimeter, reviewed here showing images from one of the virtual field trips you've chosen. Display images showcasing significant landmarks, main attractions, or features of the location. Students can post their wonderings, insights, or prior knowledge about the destination based solely on the images. This can ignite curiosity and generate excitement as students speculate about where the destination is. After gathering students' responses, announce that you'll be "taking them there" virtually through an upcoming virtual field trip! During the virtual field trip, integrate presentation tools using Pear Deck, reviewed here. Incorporate interactive question slides throughout the virtual field trip to prompt students to reflect on their learning, make connections, and apply their knowledge. You can even intersperse the presentation with interactive quizzes, polls, or collaborative brainstorming sessions. You can use this to keep the field trip active and engaging rather than a passive sit-and-get activity. Wrap it up by challenging students to become virtual field trip creators! Let them select a destination they want to "visit" and design an ideal virtual field trip experience for their peers. You can provide a template or criteria for students to consider when planning their virtual field trips. Students can use creation tools such as Google Slides, reviewed here or Canva Education Templates, reviewed here to create brochures or presentations that outline the details of their virtual field trip. Then, set a time for their "field trip pitch day," where students present their virtual field trip proposals to their classmates!You must be registered and logged in to add items to your favorites.

Choose "find papers" to ask a research question and receive results that include a summary and links to supporting facts. Select "Extract data from PDFs" to upload a document from your device, then select the document(s) to view a summary. The final tab allows you to search papers to find a list of concepts, such as solutions to damage to the rainforest from climate change. Free plans offer members 5,000 one-time credits. Elicit uses artificial intelligence (AI) as part of its information-gathering process; be sure to verify the results for accuracy.

After creating a free account, enter a detailed prompt describing the video you want to create. InVideo AI generates a script, selects media, adds voice narration, and assembles a video based on your instructions. Once the video is created, you can edit scenes, modify the script, change media, adjust voiceovers, or regenerate portions of the project as needed. When finished, export the video to your device or share it via the available publishing options. InVideo AI can be used to create educational videos, presentations, explainers, social media content, and more. The core of Upschool's content includes a selection of 10-week and short courses with topics such as The Solar System and Beyond and The Importance of Mountains. Additional learning opportunities include Social Scenarios, Comprehension Corner, SDG Challenges, and Teacher Training. Upschool also has a library of over one hundred books submitted by authors with a special message to share. Read the books online or download them as a PDF for free. In the Classroom
Share Upschools 10-week and short courses with students to complete as individualized learning projects. Encourage gifted students to select courses that meet their interests and develop a personal learning plan based on the content. Each course includes accompanying materials for parents and teachers to support student learning. Use Whiteboard.chat, reviewed here as a collaboration tool for students while taking courses provided on the site. Create a board for each "cohort" to share ideas, ask questions, and add resources. After completing courses, ask students to share their learning through a method of their choosing. Examples might include podcasts shared using Spotify for Podcasters, reviewed here or videos created with FlexClip, reviewed here.

Follow the directions found in each interactive to move the slider to show changes in each story problem or question. Plix integrates with several learning management systems, including Google Classroom, Schoology, and Canvas. Share Plix activities by creating a new class on the Plix site or assigning it to your learning management system.

Pear Practice is a gamified learning experience that promotes collaborative learning and independent practice using tools provided by Pear Deck, reviewed here. Use Pear Practice to create learning experiences or choose from the large selection of activities in the practice sets. When creating a set, Pear Practice allows members to create multiple-choice, fill-in-the-blank, drawing, and drag-and-drop questions. Once a practice set is chosen, create an assignment for individual practice or start a live practice by choosing one of the game mode options. Options within live practice activities allow educators to set time limits for questions, allow guest students not in Pear Deck classrooms, and create random groups. Students join activities using the unique code or by sharing a link. When sharing as an assignment, specify a start and ending date and assign an accuracy goal for students to achieve. Students can retake the assignment as often as needed to meet the accuracy goal. Many activities in Pear Practice's public library correlate to Common Core Standards.
