June is Effective Communication Month

Communication is a vital part of all areas of our lives. Effective communication can be verbal, nonverbal, written, auditory, and visual. This week’s resources promote effective communication between teachers, parents, students, and colleagues. Discover tools to create blogs and podcasts, add voice messages to text or videos, share virtual sticky boards, and more!

Grades K-12

Castbox Creator Studio

Podcasts offer a great way to communicate information verbally. Create and share podcasts in a few easy steps with this tool. Create your free account, add your content with their simple drag-and-drop features, and publish when finished.

Grades 4-12

Create a website or blog to share written communication. Straw.Page is a free website creation tool and blogging platform that works on any device without registration. The free account allows you to post two sites with up to five pages each.

Grades K-12

Students can connect and communicate on Doozy, a social platform where teams can chat, create quizzes, participate in group games, and much more. After you register, share the link for others to join. Use Doozy to connect during collaborative projects.

Grades 6-12

Collaborate and communicate visually using Mural, a virtual whiteboard workspace with sticky notes, shapes and connectors to create diagrams, mind maps, drawing tools, images, and more. Create breakout rooms where groups of students can work together.

Grades K-12

Soundcite

Take advantage of this unique and free tool for use on a blog or website that embeds audio directly into portions of text. For example, students can add audio with deeper descriptions, interviews, music, and vocabulary definitions to a blog post.

Grades K-12

Create, communicate, and share videos for social media platforms. Add images, text animation, audio clips, video, and more to personalize content. Choose from several templates or go straight to the video editor to begin creating.

Grades 4-12
